TIM FITE - FOR-CLOSURE

I first got a taste of Tim Fite about a week ago. He was opening up for Bonaparte at Union Hall. I’ve never heard Tim Fite before that night. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, (Bonaparte, yeah, great, but as far as an unheard opening act goes nothing too great) to be honest, I was going into this blind and deaf. Which it’s always surprising when a musician you haven’t heard before pulls you in from the first live track.

Tim Fite seems to be put in the over saturated category called Indie Pop, but that’s just what lazy people would like to categorize him as.

His vocals sound a bit like a mix of Brother Ali and Tunde Adebimpe, and that’s a really brilliant combination.

Don’t be a dummy… Tim’s performing at Pianos, on Tuesday (MARCH 26th), get tickets, go…Bonaparte is on the bill, too. And if you don’t know who Bonaparte is, then I feel bad for you.

I’m collecting glow sticks, then once I have about 30 or so, I’m going to cut the tops off of them, separate the chemicals, (crack the glass vile separately) then mix the two in a smaller “super soaker” style pistol squirt gun.

There’s all sorts of hand pumped water guns out there that shoot a steady stream. I’m planning on using the “Super Soaker Point Break”.

The mixture in glow sticks is oily, and will stain clothes, but it glows. So, it’s worth it.

After your crew has it loaded up, go out on your bikes after the sun goes down, and have a damn good time.

It’s gonna be fun.

It’s that time again, one of my favorite bands is back out east to bring you your fill of dark moody folk that you can snap your neck to.

Tickets are still available for this show, partly due to how horrible the ticket buying process is from Music Hall of Williamsburg’s website, ya’ll motherfuckers need to hire a proper web designer and fix that shit.

Get there early, and buy your ticket at the door.
